Happy V Day!

Rain or shine, every year, the day of love rolls around on February 14. Originally a feast day for a Christian martyr, the day has grown to celebrate romantic love, and in the modern era, all sorts of love, like love for family. We hope the ideas below will inspire you and the rest of your library lovers.

Passive Programming

  • Create Your Own Valentine
Set out supplies for patrons to create their own cards, like pre-cut hearts, glue sticks, rick rack, and whatever other loose art supplies you have.

  • Coloring Sheets
You can visit the following links for free coloring sheets:
  • Love Rocks
Gather a supply of flat rocks and paint pens. Let patrons decorate them with heartfelt messages.

Small Program Ideas

  • Rings with Bling
All you need for this easy craft are pipe cleaners and Hershey's kisses. The pipe cleaner is wrapped around a kiss to make a truly styling ring.
