The Declaration of Independence was ratified by the Second Continental Congress nearly 250 years ago on July 4, 1776. People celebrate with friends, family, loved ones, and neighbors by going to fireworks displays, sports events, picnics and barbecues, and other events. While you'll be closed on the actual day, celebrating the Fourth beforehand can be a lot of fun. Go ahead and grab your musical instruments to strike up a patriotic tune, cut open a few watermelons, and let the festivities begin.
Take-and-makes are all the rage. Print these out and include them in your packets during the month of July. You can also leave them out on a table for simple passive programming.
Arts and crafts are where it's at. Break these out at your next Fourth of July party.
